  • I initially approached Kieran for help to get me in shape for a season in Canada training to be a ski instructor. I'd been working out on my own for a few months but progress was slow and I didn't feel that I was anywhere near my potential for maximum fitness. I also knew my diet was in need of an overhaul as I felt tired, sluggish and bloated most of the time.

    I chose to do the 12-week program and after completing this I am amazed by the difference it has made. Kieran was able to focus my workouts to target exactly where I needed to build strength and stamina in preparation for intense skiing sessions and as a result I feel fitter and stronger than ever before. The assessment of my diet and lifestyle was very thorough and the changes we made have really helped me to feel healthier and the bloating and sluggishness is no longer a problem. And I can actually see my abs for the first time in my life!

    Kieran's support and understanding have been absolutely invaluable. I would never have been able to achieve this level of fitness on my own.   • Having had a lot of back and neck pains over many years, I started to see Kieran about 10 months ago and since have felt remarkably better. I am able to do simple tasks like sitting reading the paper without pain in my neck and I generally feel much stronger with normal day to day activities. Kieran is always very patient and will listen to what you want out of your sessions, tailoring them to your requirements.   • I first made contact with Kieran nearly 2 years ago. I was just returning to exercise after 2 pregnancies and had a lot to achieve in terms of both weight management and fitness.

    Kieran has helped me work on my diet using numerous tools. He has complemented this with a varied and interesting exercise programme, which has evolved and challenged at all times.   • The past seven weeks have been a revelation to me. I have achieved so much doing the correct exercises given to me by Kieran.

    I had been negotiating stairs sideways nursing old knee and ankle injuries. That's all in the past. Now I can wear high heels, walk confidently on rough ground, jumping ditches and no longer needing to use hand rails. I have also lost weight, but even better, I've lost inches all over my body. The puffiness from around my knee has gone and the floppy bits hanging from my upper arms are firming up. Kieran has worked around my requests, making movements and routines which I can perform at home.

    I first approached Kieran at a gym, as I was suffering head aches and joint pain. He asked me what exercises I did and convinced me to change my routine. His way is so much easier.

    Having just turned 59 I will not say "I don't feel any different" because I certainly do! I feel a great deal better than I did this time last year. I put this down to exercising correctly and a few minor changes to my diet. I am stronger, more agile and feel more confident about my appearance.   • In January I decided that I wasn't using the gym properly; I had been a member for over five years and, like a lot of people, was very patchy in using it. As I was now a new senior citizen there was no way I would turn into a super being - I merely wanted to be fit, to feel new. I made enquiries and was recommended Kieran by two people.

    Forget 'going for the burn', Kieran first sits you down and together you discover what you want/need in conjunction with your medical history. Pulse and B.P. were taken; he even checked with my physio. Then there was a gentle check on equipment and mats to ascertain my fitness level - or lack thereof! At the end I was given a preliminary plan that focused on core muscles to enable me to move and balance better before, over further sessions, extending myself more. I went home with a questionnaire to discover my metabolic type and some helpful URLs for me to use - or not - as I wished. So I did.

    Kieran is not only a personal trainer but also a nutrition and lifestyle coach and is very good at what he does. We have regular discussions and updates, everything is explained and reasons given for each exercise etc, He is there in person, on the phone or e-mail ready to answer queries and questions. If I'm hurting in one exercise he works round it, taking into account my strengths and weaknesses. Never have I been made to feel anything less than encouraged. In my pre-retirement profession I thought I knew Anatomy and Physiology but I was in error. I am learning all the time. The synergistic body and mental systems never cease to amaze me.

    It has been four months now and I can truly say I regret not a single minute. Kieran has helped me in ways that aren't even quantifiable. I have fun and laugh a lot but I am undeniably pleased with myself, (some might say smug!) never thinking I was capable of doing what I now do and enjoying it at the same time. I have better posture, am far more limber than in years, eat more healthily and haven't had a cold or asthma attack since I started the sessions. I have lost 9 pounds and gone down a dress size so what is there not to love?

  • I began using a personal trainer initially wanting to lose weight and improve my muscle tone ready for a family holiday, which was 14 weeks away. The tuition and direction I received led me to successfully achieve my goals.

    I’ve continued to use the service and now feel in the best shape physically and mentally I’ve been in most my adult life! My training programme is altered in accordance with the targets I set myself, and therefore remains varied and interesting. With the guidance my trainer provides I feel that I’m exercising safely, with correct form and posture ensuring maximum results.   • I have a bad back and until I started to work with Kieran could not understand why my 3 times a week at the gym just wasn't working for me. I was still having pain almost every day and a lot of discomfort. Kieran devised a very specific series of exercises for me and my particular issues and he spent a lot of time understanding what I needed and my lifestyle so that he could tailor the exercises to suit me personally and not just standard routines.

    As a result of regular meetings with Kieran and working carefully through the exercises he gives me, I now have no pain at all and I am able to play tennis and run and chase my children about without any problems at all! I am also very impressed with Kieran's knowledge and the advice he gives relating to lifestyle issues and diet and how to fit it into your life.
