Focus on the Process

I’m the first to admit I can focus a little too much on getting results. Don’t get me wrong, having a weight loss goal is important. But focusing exclusively on the outcome (the scales) isn’t the be-all and end-all. In reality, the results we get are down to Mother Nature. We just don’t get to choose how much weight gets lost or how much fat we burn.

But we CAN focus on doing the things that make it happen. We CAN focus on the habits that turn into measurable results.

So try giving yourself to the process. Focus on getting your three training sessions done each week, every week. Focus on eating little and often. Focus on including protein at every meal. Focus on doing the best kind of exercise for weight loss (table push-aways for those that don’t know;) ).

Go ahead, give it a try. You’ll be surprised at the outcome (weight loss) that comes from focusing on the habits. Check off the things you CAN control and let nature take care of itself.
